This is another one of my favorite AI sloth generations. I created it at a time when my home office very closely resembled the chaos that the sloth is working in front of. Of course, being a sloth, he's very nonchalantly typing and looking like he's totally not disturbed by the chaos enveloping him. He's just ... a sloth.

I took up the eminently strange hobby of generating AI photos of sloths in life like situations when I was first stumbling upon DALLE and looking for some ridiculous prompts to test out the tool. In retrospect, it's a pity that I didn't record some of my first sloth generations because they provide a good measure of how far AI image generation has progressed in a short amount of time. While there are still challenges like pseudotext and other problems, the sloth in these photos bear little resemblance to the original ones. Quite entertainingly, because it's actually historically accurate, DALLE used to depict slots as gigantic beings towering over humans and their surroundings - you had to carefully prompt that the sloth should be "a normal size" or it would be gigantic. These days, both the sloths are more realistic and the overall reliability of the AI image generation has improved tremendously.
